“Chasten and I are more than thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we’re becoming parents. We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family.”Pete wrote, introducing Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg as new members of their family.

The couple announced in August that they would become parents, but they did not go into much detail about this decision.

Chasten, a high school teacher said earlier in an interview with “The Washington Post” that his partner and he are trying to adopt children.

Pete Buttigieg currently serves as the 19th Secretary of Transportation, having been sworn in on February 3, 2021.

He is the first declared homosexual who became a parent in the American government.

He is the son of Joseph Buttigieg, who immigrated to the United States from Malta, and Jennifer Anne Montgomery, a fifth-generation Hoosier.

His leadership helped spark citywide job growth and facilitated innovative public-private partnerships like Commuters Trust, a benefits program designed to improve the city’s transportation experience for workers.

And we can only congratulate the happy parents!
