Switzerland Has Legalized a Capsule for Euthanasia
What do you think about a capsule for euthanasia that brings peace in less than a minute?
Its creator, Philip Nitschke, designed it back in 2019 and is the founder of the organization Exit International, which deals with the humanization of this entire process. Sarco capsules have passed the legal inspection and are ready for use.
Philip Nitschke points out that the greatest advantage of his invention is that a person who uses a capsule for euthanasia does not need a doctor to try to insert the needle and does not have to take heavy medications. The capsule for euthanasia is activated from the inside and can be dragged to the place where the person wants to die.
When activated, the capsule is filled with nitrogen and the amount of oxygen is reduced. After that, the person loses consciousness and finally dies. The dying process, they say, takes less than a minute.
Switzerland is one of the few countries that allow assisted suicide to anyone who wants it, without an age limit or the necessary diagnosis. Precisely because of such progressive attitudes, Switzerland has become a leading country for “death tourism”. As many as 221 people came to this country to commit suicide in 2018, and the number increased to about 1,300 last year.
The aim of the present invention is to remove any responsibility of medical workers in the patient’s decision. Otherwise, it is still necessary for the person who wants euthanasia to undergo detailed psychological tests. Also for the doctor to prescribe sodium pentobarbital before suicide.
The doctor was condemned primarily by people who oppose euthanasia, but also by those who consider his methods unacceptable but are already in favor of using gas. He defends his invention by saying that such a method of assisted suicide is not possible due to the close connection between gas and the Holocaust, and European citizens are reluctant to use such methods.
Those who are against Sark care about everything, even his futuristic design, which, according to them, glorifies suicide. There is also a VR system application that allows you to experience your death. Currently, there are only 2 prototypes of this machine, but a third is in preparation, which is in the process of 3D printing and we expect to be ready for use as early as next year.
